History:
In 1870 the emperor of France declared war on the kingdom of Prussia, this declaration was also sent to three southern states in Germany who were formally enemies of Prussia, so now they stood together as allies. These combined armies defeated the French army in the late summer of 1870 and captured Napoleon III.
