History:
The Character of Uhtred is taken from a novel about the Danish attacks on England at the time of Alfred the Great. Uhtred, born the son of a Northumbrian Aldorman is taken captive by Danish raiders and is brought up as a Dane and learns their ways and religion.He finds his way back to England in later years and helps the Saxons under Alfred in their struggles and battles to stop the Danes overrunning England
